Dr. Sklar graduated magna cum laude with honors from Washington University in St. Louis, MO with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He earned his medical degree and internship from The University of Texas Medical Branch and completed his residency at The University of Oklahoma where he served as Chief Resident his senior year. Dr. Sklar remains highly involved in the medical community through memberships in the American Medical Association, American Academy of Dermatology, Dallas Dermatology Association, and the Texas Medical Association, to name a few. He currently serves as a member of the Platinum Dermatology Partners all-physician Clinical Advisory Board in Texas.

Away from the office, Dr. Sklar is an avid golfer (still waiting for that hole-on-one), and a big-time foodie who enjoys dining at the various restaurants in Dallas. He also enjoys spending time with his two children, both of whom excel in sports and academics.
