A board-certified dermatologist specializing in the full range of medical and cosmetic dermatology, Dr. Angela Bowers and her practice, Southlake Dermatology, have been honored with numerous awards and distinctions continuously since the practice opened in 1999. Deemed a leader in her field by the medical community and numerous others, Dr. Bower’s is local favorite of her patients and the Southlake community. She has been named a “Healthcare Hero” by the Fort Worth Business Press, named to Southlake Journal’s “Best Dermatologists in Southlake,” to D Magazine’s “Top Doctors in Dallas” list, and Texas Monthly’s “Super Docs,” to name a few.
Dr. Bowers attended Texas A&M University for her undergraduate work, graduating summa cum laude. She completed medical school at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha honor medical society. Following her medical internship at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Dr. Bowers completed her residency in Dermatology at The University of Texas Southwestern where she served as Chief Resident her final year.
In addition to medical dermatology and thorough skin cancer exams, Dr. Bowers specializes in surgical and cosmetic dermatological procedures ranging from skin cancer treatment and mole removal to injectable fillers, chemical peels and specialized skin care products. One of a select group of Skin Type Solutions (STS) practices, Southlake Dermatology offers personalized skincare products based each person’s specific skin typing needs. They also off specialized dermatology services, such as Fraxel laser, Zeltiq fat reduction, CoolSculpting, and Blue Light Phototherapy for pre-cancerous lesions.
Dr. Bowers is a member of the Platinum Dermatology Partners all-physician Clinical Advisory Board in Texas, and a past president of both Dallas Dermatological Society and Northeast Tarrant County Medical Society. She enjoys giving back to her community through participation in and contributions to dozens of local schools, churches, foundations and more.
