Dr. Allison Singer is a board-certified dermatologist specializing in treating entire families’ skin care needs. An expert in pediatric, adolescent, adult, and senior skin disorders, Dr. Singer emphasizes the importance of skin cancer prevention, early detection, and treatment. She is an expert in cosmetic treatments and regimens that enhance a person’s natural look, and in utilizing nutritional supplementation for optimal health.
Dr. Singer values compassionate care and the long-term relationships she builds with each of her patients. She notes that whenever there is a systemic problem in the body, the skin is often the first place it will show, so she looks at her patients holistically, not just their skin.
Dr. Singer’s medical education began with a Bachelor of Science degree with honors in Biology from Tulane University. She earned her medical degree with honors from The University of Texas Medical School at Houston. While in medical school, Dr. Singer was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha honor medical society and received the Janice M. Glasgow Award as an outstanding female medical student.
Dr. Singer completed her internship in Internal Medicine at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston and her residency in Dermatology at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. She also served as Chief Resident at Parkland Memorial Hospital her senior year.
Dr. Singer finished her training in 1999 and remained on the faculty at UT Southwestern as an Assistant Clinical Professor in Dermatology prior to going into private practice.
In her free time, Dr. Singer enjoys spending time with her husband, Randy, and their very active twin boys.
